We are seeking motivated and reliable Material Handlers to join our dynamic logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, unpacking, stocking, and preparing materials for shipment. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where safety and accuracy are paramount. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, pack, store).
- Perform inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the proper use of PPE.
- Willingness to learn and operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
