We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our team in Miami, Florida. This role is central to our warehouse operations, focusing on the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout the facility. You will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and distributing goods, playing a key part in our logistics chain. The ideal candidate is physically fit, safety-conscious, and possesses a strong work ethic. We are committed to providing a secure and productive environment for all our logistics personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming materials and products.
- Stock and organize materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Pick and prepare materials for internal use or for shipment to customers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, strictly adhering to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Assist with inventory counts and tracking, reporting discrepancies.
- Follow all company policies and standard operating procedures related to material handling and logistics.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform duties that may involve manual lifting and moving of heavy items, up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable. Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, is a significant advantage. Must be physically capable of performing tasks involving frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, with the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds. A strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the mandatory use of PPE is required. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced logistics environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. High school diploma or GED preferred. This role is fundamental to our logistics infrastructure and requires dedication to accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
