Job Summary

The Regional Sales Director at TFG is responsible for leading sales operations and strategy within a designated geographic territory. This leadership role involves managing a team of sales professionals, driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and ensuring alignment with TFG's corporate objectives. The Regional Sales Director serves as a key liaison between field operations and senior leadership, providing strategic direction, operational oversight, and performance management to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Set quarterly and annual targets for revenue, margin, and customer growth.
  • Identify market opportunities and prioritize high-potential segments.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and support territory sales representatives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide development plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Sales Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day sales activities across the region.
  • Ensure consistent use of CRM tools and reporting systems.
  • Monitor pipeline health, conversion rates, and territory coverage.

Customer Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
  • Support reps in complex negotiations and high-value opportunities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through proactive service.

Market Intelligence

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
  • Share insights with product, marketing, and executive teams.
  • Adjust regional tactics based on market dynamics.

Reporting & Forecasting

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and performance reports.
  • Analyze data to identify risks, gaps, and growth opportunities.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • MBA or other advanced degrees preferred.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B industrial sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven history of achieving sales targets and managing high-performing teams.
  • Experience in strategic planning, territory management, and market expansion.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Ability to leverage analytics tools for forecasting and performance measurement.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build and motivate high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent people skills for client engagement and contract negotiation.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities to oversee regional responsibilities.

Travel Requirement

  • Ability to travel within the assigned region is required to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support field operations, including possession of a valid driver's license.

Physical

  • This position requires the ability to be mobile throughout the workday and repeatedly lift to fifty pounds as part of routine duties.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Base Salary

  • The role offers a competitive base salary, benchmarked against industry standards and adjusted for experience, performance, and regional market conditions. Salary reviews are conducted annually to ensure continued alignment with market rates and individual contributions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $160,000.00 per year
