We're seeking a top-tier, quality-driven Industrial Painter to work in our coating department in North Bay. In this role, you will be instrumental in applying specialized protective finishes, maintaining advanced spray equipment, and ensuring every structural assembly leaving our yard is built to last. Note: This position is a completely on-site role based out of our facility in North Bay, ON.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Precision Coating Application: Operate gravity-fed and electrostatic paint equipment in a safe and efficient manner to apply protective coatings to fabricated enclosures.
- Technical Mixing & Specification: Mix paints according to predetermined formulas, manufacturer data sheets, and exacting customer specifications.
- Equipment Stewardship: Clean and maintain painting and coating ventilation, compressed air systems, and all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Material Handling & Logistics: Operate overhead cranes and fork trucks to maneuver large structural assemblies throughout the yard and shop.
- Team Leadership: Direct and mentor one or two helpers to maximize productivity and ensure workflow efficiency.
- Quality Control: Perform detailed touch-ups and ensure the duty station, tools, and workbenches are maintained to the highest safety and cleanliness standards.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience operating electrostatic spray systems and a deep understanding of protective coating properties.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift and Overhead Crane certification is highly preferred.
- Physical Capability: Ability to handle large-scale structural items and work in an industrial shop environment.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a small team and collaborate effectively with fabrication staff.
- Work Ethic: A "Safety First" mentality with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Salary: $ $30.00 per hour,commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skill level.
