*Role Overview*
As a Technical Implementation Manager at Knox, your role will have two critical functions.
*The first function* will support customers through their customer lifecycle - ensuring smooth deployment into our Federal environment while driving adoption, compliance, and long-term success. Blending program management, technical credibility, and customer success, you'll work closely with engineering, security, and compliance teams to guide customers through technical milestones. In this role you will bring structure, clarity, and steady hand to complex implementations to ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned to Knox’s standards for compliance and security.
*The second function* will focus on optimizing Knox’s internal operations through creativity and a deep understanding of our internal technical stack. You will look for opportunities to standardize, automate, and enhance Knox’s key business processes by identifying pain points, misalignment, or missing capabilities and then putting those plans into action across Knox.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Oversee the full customer lifecycle — from onboarding and professional services kickoff through go live.
* Own the implementation meeting cadence by setting a strategic agenda, coordinating the right stakeholders, and leading discussions that drive alignment, decisions, and follow-through.
* Regularly assemble and align external stakeholders for status calls, workflow overviews, or connecting technical teams.
* Track and manage a detailed project plan to ensure customers meet critical milestones across several parallel work streams; sound the alarm when projects fall behind and create mitigation plans and timeline adjustments.
* Act as a credible voice with customers, helping them understand Knox’s processes and milestones while proactively identifying technical or compliance challenges in collaboration with technical teams.
* Manage, communicate, and update customer documents, meeting notes, action item logs, and presentations to inform and facilitate the implementation process.
* Serve as the connective tissue between phases of the customer lifecycle, filling knowledge gaps between business groups and facilitating smooth handoffs.
* Work across functions to create or augment internal operations—developing process maps, identifying stakeholders, and tracking efficiency gains—ensuring environments are delivered, adopted, and sustained within Knox’s Federal cloud.
* Translate requirements into actionable project plans, manage dependencies and risks, and validate progress against compliance and security milestones.
* Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Security teams to align customer expectations with technical feasibility and delivery outcomes.
* Provide clear, concise updates to both technical and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment at every stage of the implementation journey.
* Capture lessons learned from technical engagements to evolve Knox’s onboarding methodology, professional services offerings, and customer success playbooks.
* Serve as a champion for the customer after onboarding, capturing satisfaction and sentiment and intervening early to resolve risks to adoption or renewal.
*QualificationsBasic Requirements*
* 7+ years of experience managing complex cloud or SaaS implementations with enterprise customers or background in managing internal business stakeholders.
* Proven background in technical program or project management with customer-facing responsibilities.
* Familiarity with cloud computing concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP), SaaS deployments, and compliance-driven environments.
* Strong ability to translate technical requirements into clear deliverables without needing to be a hands-on engineer.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage confidently with executives, technical teams, and compliance stakeholders.
* Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects with multiple workstreams and dependencies.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Familiarity with compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.).
* Technical program management certifications (PMP, CSM, or similar).
* Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent Azure/GCP certifications.
* Experience with infrastructure-as-code concepts and modern DevOps practices (understanding vs. hands-on execution).
* Strong ability to identify technical risks, escalate issues, and keep projects on track under tight timelines.
*Benefits*
* Knox offers a competitive employee benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability and an employee funded 401k plan. Please note, benefits are subject to change.
