We are seeking an experienced and certified Reach Truck Operator to join our logistics team in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory within our warehouse. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring accurate placement of products, and contributing to overall warehouse organization and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a valid reach truck certification, a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and a proven ability to operate machinery with precision. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to fulfill orders and manage stock levels. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety guidelines, and the ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all operators are expected to use the required PPE and follow safe lifting procedures. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers as needed.
- Place inventory in designated rack locations accurately.
- Perform daily inspections of the reach truck and report any issues.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Coordinate with supervisors and team members to ensure operational flow.
- Adhere to all logistics and company policies.
- Practice safe lifting techniques even when using equipment.
Qualifications:
- Valid reach truck operator certification.
- Previous experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Understanding of logistics operations.
- Commitment to safety, including proper use of PPE and safe lifting.
