Our Nashville, Tennessee distribution center is looking for skilled Forklift Operators to enhance our logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining inventory accuracy. You will work closely with other warehouse associates and supervisors to meet daily operational goals. A strong emphasis on safety, precision, and operational efficiency is paramount. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your forklift expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operational inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Safely maneuver equipment in congested areas and around other personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory placement.
- Organize materials and ensure proper storage according to warehouse layout.
- Assist with receiving and shipping operations as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow all traffic rules and operating guidelines within the facility.
- This role requires regular Lifting of items and sustained physical activity.
- Contribute to the efficiency of our overall logistics chain.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator. Valid forklift certification required. Thorough understanding of forklift operating procedures and safety regulations. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. A responsible attitude and strong work ethic are essential for this logistics position.
