We are seeking an Order Picker to become a valuable part of our Des Moines, Iowa logistics team. This position is fundamental to our order fulfillment process, ensuring that products are accurately selected and prepared for shipment. As an Order Picker, you will use scanning devices and pick lists to retrieve items from warehouse shelves, ensuring accuracy in product identification and quantity. Efficiency, attention to detail, and a strong adherence to safety protocols are crucial. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, can work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and are committed to maintaining a high standard of productivity. This role offers a great opportunity to grow within the warehouse and logistics industry. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and gather products from warehouse locations based on order requirements.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and warehouse environment.
- Participate in inventory checks and stock replenishment activities.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Contribute to team goals for order fulfillment efficiency.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work required shifts and potential overtime.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety footwear.
- Understanding of warehouse safety and logistics best practices.
- A proactive and dependable work ethic.
