Join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist in St. Louis, Missouri! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This includes conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stock errors. You will work closely with warehouse operations to ensure that inventory data is up-to-date and reflects the actual physical stock. This position requires a highly organized individual with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving within our logistics operations. Your efforts will directly contribute to the efficiency and profitability of our distribution center by preventing stockouts and overstock situations. We are looking for someone who can work independently, meticulously document findings, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management. A commitment to safety and adherence to all warehouse protocols are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures.
- Track and manage the movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Work with operations teams to ensure accurate receiving and put-away processes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
- Ability to perform detailed tasks accurately.
- Experience with RF scanning equipment.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE is required.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
