Join our busy distribution center in Orlando, Florida, as a Receiving Clerk. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately documented, inspected, and stored properly. You will be responsible for unloading merchandise, verifying quantities against purchase orders, identifying damaged or defective items, and assigning appropriate storage locations within the warehouse. A strong understanding of inventory control principles and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this position. You will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect received goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies, and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tag and label all received items for proper identification and tracking.
- Stage incoming goods for put-away by other warehouse staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring **Safety** protocols are followed at all times.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding delivery status and discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use provided **PPE** consistently.
- This role involves significant **Lifting** of products, often requiring team lifting for heavier items.
