Join our bustling warehouse operations as a Picker/Packer in Detroit, Michigan! We are looking for energetic individuals to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders and prepare them for shipment. In this role, you will navigate our warehouse using hand-held scanners or pick lists to locate and retrieve products. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that customers receive the correct items, in good condition, and on time. This position is fundamental to our customer satisfaction and plays a vital part in our overall logistics chain. We emphasize a safe working environment, and all team members are expected to prioritize safety and wear appropriate PPE at all times. The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting and adapt to changing priorities is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on customer orders, pick lists, or scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipment, selecting suitable packaging materials.
- Label packages with shipping information and necessary documentation.
- Operate pallet jacks and other lifting equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse and logistics operations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping goals.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Prior experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lifting (up to 50 lbs) throughout the shift. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial. Commitment to workplace safety.
