Are you a proactive and organized individual with a knack for logistics? We are looking for a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our bustling warehouse operations in Boston, Massachusetts. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every step. You will be responsible for meticulously processing incoming shipments, accurately preparing outgoing orders, and maintaining detailed records. This position demands a keen eye for detail and a commitment to operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify packing slips against purchase orders and report any discrepancies.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to customer orders and carrier requirements.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided).
- Maintain organized and clean storage areas, ensuring efficient inventory management.
- Update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly and accurately.
- Coordinate with transportation providers for timely pick-ups and deliveries.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and wear required PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Must be capable of consistent Lifting of packages and materials up to 40 lbs.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a related warehouse role.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of Safety.
- Proficiency in basic math and computer skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.
