Our Seattle, Washington distribution center is looking for an organized and efficient Receiving Clerk to manage the inbound flow of goods. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for accurately documenting, inspecting, and processing all incoming shipments. This role requires diligence, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will unload trucks, verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips, identify damages or shortages, and accurately record all received items into our warehouse management system. The Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring that our inventory is accurately represented from the moment it arrives. You will also be responsible for directing received goods to their appropriate staging areas or storage locations. Strong communication skills are necessary for coordinating with vendors and internal departments. Adherence to all safety procedures, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE, is crucial. This position involves regular lifting and requires physical stamina. A commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly receiving area is essential for efficient logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight efficiently and safely.
- Verify received goods against shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Inspect shipments for damage or shortages and report discrepancies.
- Enter received inventory data into the WMS accurately.
- Stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
- Participate in regular lifting of inventory items.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations.
