Our San Antonio, Texas facility is looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our essential logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records, conducting regular stock counts, and investigating any discrepancies. Your primary goal will be to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our inventory, which is critical for efficient operations and informed decision-making within our logistics department. You will utilize inventory management software, assist in cycle counting, and help organize warehouse stock for optimal accessibility. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy. You will be expected to work closely with warehouse staff and management to resolve inventory issues. Safety is paramount, and you must adhere to all safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While not primarily a physical role, some tasks may involve moderate Lifting. We seek dedicated individuals who are eager to contribute to a streamlined and accurate inventory system within our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain stock locations for efficiency and accessibility.
- Assist in receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- Generate inventory reports as required.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements related to inventory control.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience as an inventory clerk or in a similar warehouse/logistics role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and data entry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform basic physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and proper use of PPE.
- Good organizational and communication abilities.
