Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently load and unload materials from incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the warehouse using material handling equipment.
- Receive, identify, sort, and stock inventory in its designated areas, maintaining accuracy.
- Organize and maintain warehouse space to ensure efficient workflow and accessibility.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any damage or needed repairs.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counts and stock checks.
- Assist other departments with material handling needs as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activities, including lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds regularly.
- Proficiency in using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and general logistics principles.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
