Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily before use, reporting any mechanical issues or damages.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Transport materials from receiving areas to storage locations and from storage to shipping areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counting and stock placement.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways for movement.
- Comply with all company policies and regulations.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, including some Lifting tasks.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid forklift operator certification or demonstrated proficiency.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Proven ability to perform manual tasks and occasional heavy Lifting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if needed.
- Must be able to work in various temperature conditions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must wear appropriate PPE at all times.
