We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our busy logistics hub in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for accurately preparing, labeling, and dispatching outgoing shipments. This role is crucial for ensuring that orders are processed efficiently and accurately, meeting customer expectations and delivery schedules. You will work with various shipping carriers, verify shipment details, and maintain shipping records. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and documentation is key. You will collaborate closely with warehouse associates and customer service teams to ensure a smooth shipping process. Prioritizing workplace Safety and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE ) is essential. This position requires standing for extended periods and involves moderate Lifting of packages, typically up to 40 lbs. Become a vital part of our growing Logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Verify shipping information and ensure accuracy of orders.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery.
- Operate shipping software and ensure all shipments are processed correctly.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and files.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for quality control.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding shipping status and potential delays.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Uphold high standards of workplace Safety , including proper use of PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a warehouse environment preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate Lifting of packages up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of Logistics and supply chain operations.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and correct use of PPE .
