Job Summary:
Our expanding distribution center in Chicago, Illinois is looking for a diligent Inventory Clerk to join our team. The Inventory Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring the overall integrity of our stock. This position requires a meticulous approach to tracking inventory movements, identifying discrepancies, and participating in root cause analysis to prevent future errors. You will be instrumental in optimizing stock levels and supporting the efficiency of our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong analytical skills. You will work collaboratively with various warehouse departments to ensure seamless inventory management. Upholding rigorous Safety standards and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE ) is a core expectation. This role involves some physical activity, including standing, walking, and occasional Lifting of up to 40 lbs. Embrace an opportunity to contribute to a leading Logistics provider.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and report on potential shortages or overages.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure proper inventory placement.
  • Generate inventory reports for management.
  • Participate in inventory-related projects and improvements.
  • Ensure the security and organization of warehouse inventory.
  • Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE .
  • Support warehouse operations and contribute to overall team goals.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including occasional Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
  • Knowledge of Logistics and inventory best practices.
  • Commitment to upholding workplace Safety and the correct use of PPE .
