Are you a skilled Forklift Operator looking for a challenging and rewarding role? Join our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment requires precision and a strong commitment to safety. You will work closely with the receiving and shipping departments to ensure a seamless flow of operations. We maintain the highest standards of workplace safety, and comprehensive training will be provided on proper equipment operation, hazard awareness, and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). A valid forklift certification is highly preferred. This position is critical to our supply chain efficiency, and we are looking for reliable, experienced operators who prioritize safety and productivity. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse, including staging, storage, and shipping docks.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and put-away processes.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after each shift, reporting any maintenance issues immediately.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to perform lifting (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
