Our Columbus, Ohio distribution center is looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our dedicated team. This role is vital for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring that all incoming products are processed efficiently and correctly. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for inspecting deliveries, verifying quantities, and entering receiving data into our system. Your accuracy and diligence contribute directly to the seamless functioning of our logistics and supply chain operations. We prioritize a safe and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Compare received goods against purchase orders and packing slips for discrepancies.
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for damage or defects.
- Record received items into the inventory management system promptly and accurately.
- Label and stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Ensure the receiving dock area is kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving or inventory control role is an advantage.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate physical exertion, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory tracking.
- Good communication skills to report any issues or discrepancies.
- Commitment to workplace safety and consistent use of required PPE.
