We are looking for a motivated Order Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items for customer orders, ensuring that products are selected correctly and prepared for shipment. This is a crucial position for maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the efficiency of our logistics operations. A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a pick list or scanning device.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack and stage orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
- Operate electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Participate in inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Report any issues with equipment, inventory, or orders to supervisors.
- Contribute to a fast-paced and efficient warehouse environment.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall team goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order selection.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics concepts.
- Understanding of workplace safety regulations and the importance of PPE .
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
