We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our Richmond, Virginia location. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise in our warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess excellent operating skills, a strong commitment to Safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic logistics environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, supporting both receiving and shipping operations. We emphasize a safe working atmosphere and provide the necessary equipment and training. Your precision and adherence to procedures will be vital to our operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport products to and from storage areas, production areas, or loading docks.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure Safety and proper functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory.
- Organize and stack materials in designated locations, ensuring stability.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any equipment issues or safety concerns immediately.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating forklifts, with valid certification.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting and moving of heavy items.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity goals.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb as needed.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe and secure work environment.
