Join our thriving logistics team as a Material Handler in San Jose, California. This role is essential for the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for moving, stocking, and retrieving materials throughout the facility using various equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Your duties will include loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory to ensure accessibility, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Safety is our top priority, and all Material Handlers are required to strictly follow safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs and prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending. You will work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to ensure accurate order fulfillment and prompt dispatch of goods, playing a vital role in our logistics chain. A keen eye for detail is important for managing inventory effectively and preventing damage to products. We are looking for dedicated individuals with a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ability to follow instructions and operate equipment safely is a must. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials and shipments.
- Organize and stock materials in designated warehouse areas.
- Pick and prepare materials for shipment.
- Conduct regular checks of equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all work areas.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Perform other warehouse tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs) consistently.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts is highly desirable.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and PPE requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina for demanding tasks.
