We are looking for an energetic and reliable Material Handler to join our busy warehouse operations in St. Louis, Missouri. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, stocking, and retrieving materials within the warehouse. Your primary duties will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to transport goods. You will assist in loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and ensuring that all materials are stored properly and accessible. Maintaining a safe work environment is paramount, which includes adhering to all safety guidelines and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). This role is physically demanding, requiring frequent lifting of materials up to 70 lbs and continuous standing and walking. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure that orders are picked accurately and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations. Attention to detail is critical to prevent damage to goods and ensure accurate inventory counts. We value individuals who are team-oriented, possess a strong work ethic, and are committed to safety. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Stock and retrieve materials from designated warehouse locations.
- Organize and maintain inventory in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Ensure that all work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs) regularly.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE.
