We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Specialist in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, analyzing inventory data, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics setting are crucial. You will play a key role in optimizing stock levels and reducing errors. We emphasize Safety in all aspects of our operations and provide necessary PPE. This is a great chance to contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance inventory accuracy and control.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure accuracy from the start.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management best practices and techniques.
- Proficiency with WMS and other inventory-related software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including some Lifting.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
