This role demands a proactive approach to inventory management, order fulfillment, and staff supervision. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of goods, implementing operational improvements, and upholding the highest standards of safety and security. A key part of your role will be to oversee compliance with all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all team members. You will also coordinate shipping and receiving schedules, manage warehouse staff, and troubleshoot any operational challenges. This position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with carriers and suppliers.
- Supervise and guide warehouse staff, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
- Implement and enforce company safety policies, including PPE usage.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure compliance with all logistics and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in warehouse coordination or management.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and PPE requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
