We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This position is critical to the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution network. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the movement and management of materials within our facility. This includes receiving goods, stocking shelves, picking orders, and preparing items for shipment. A proactive approach to safety and efficiency is highly valued. You'll work alongside a dedicated team, contributing to the overall success of our warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming inventory.
- Accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick items for customer orders using order sheets or scanning devices.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipping.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE, including gloves and safety glasses.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting, up to 40 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
