We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our busy distribution center in Houston, Texas! As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and store materials. Your role is essential in maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our facility, ensuring timely processing of orders and shipments. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach) to transport materials.
- Load and unload inventory from trucks, trailers, and warehouse storage areas.
- Stack and organize materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and material location verification.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to meet operational demands.
- Ensure accurate and efficient movement of goods to support logistics operations.
- Participate in safety training and contribute to a safety-conscious culture.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely and effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
