We are hiring a Material Handler in our Durham, North Carolina facility. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring that materials are moved, stored, and tracked accurately and efficiently. You will operate material handling equipment, load and unload trucks, and manage inventory within the warehouse. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace safety; adherence to all safety procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position requires physical dexterity and the capacity for consistent lifting of materials. We are committed to maintaining a secure and productive environment for all employees. Responsibilities include receiving, identifying, sorting, and stocking materials, as well as preparing items for shipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery.
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Transport materials throughout the facility efficiently.
- Properly store materials according to established procedures.
- Conduct daily inspections of material handling equipment.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and discrepancy reporting.
- Follow all safety regulations to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring timely material availability.
- Requires ability for regular lifting up to 70 lbs.
