Overton ISD is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented High School Yearbook and Graphic Design Teacher. This role involves guiding students through the process of creating the annual yearbook while teaching the fundamentals of graphic design. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling, strong technical skills, and the ability to manage deadlines and student-led projects.

Education/Certification Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Journalism, Communications, or related field (preferred) Valid Texas teaching certification in Theater and/or Art (or ability to obtain), or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI) Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software Experience in yearbook production and/or graphic design preferred Bachelor's degree from accredited university Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Teach graphic design principles, software, and techniques Lead the planning, design, and production of the school yearbook Supervise and mentor students in layout design, photography, and editorial content Manage yearbook timelines, budgets, and communication with publishers Foster creativity and collaboration in the classroom Encourage professional design standards and attention to detail
