We are hiring a Material Handler for our busy warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a vital role in our logistics network, responsible for the smooth movement and organization of materials throughout the facility. You will be involved in receiving, storing, and distributing a wide range of products. Key duties include using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and potentially forklifts (if certified) to transport goods. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety, ensuring that all materials are handled correctly to prevent damage and injury. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory for all employees in this role. The job requires physical fitness, as it involves significant amounts of manual Handling and moderate to heavy Lifting throughout the shift. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and management to maintain efficient operations and accurate inventory counts. Responsibilities:
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas.
- Load and unload delivery trucks.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Ensure proper labeling and organization of materials.
- Adhere to all Safety procedures and wear designated PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
- Perform Lifting and carrying of various materials.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a warehouse or material handling role.
- Ability to operate hand trucks and pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Willingness to use PPE and follow Safety guidelines.
- Capacity for frequent Lifting and manual Handling.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory control.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
