As a Material Handler, you will be involved in various aspects of material movement, utilizing equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Support inventory control processes and assist with physical counts.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including regular lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Commitment to safety in all logistics tasks.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED is a plus.
