We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is critical to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and discrepancy resolution. Your expertise will ensure that our stock levels are precise, minimizing shrinkage and optimizing operational efficiency within our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Identify and report on inventory trends and potential issues.
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Monitor stock rotation to prevent obsolescence and expiration.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Operate necessary equipment, adhering to all safety guidelines, and use appropriate PPE .
- This role may require moderate lifting of up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related field.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and WMS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics .
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE .
- Must be able to perform tasks involving lifting and physical movement.
