We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include cycle counting, reconciling discrepancies, investigating stock adjustments, and ensuring that all inventory data is up-to-date and precise. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of warehouse operations. You will work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to identify and resolve inventory issues promptly. The ideal candidate will have experience with inventory management systems and a solid understanding of warehouse processes. We are looking for someone proactive who can contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing inventory accuracy and efficiency. Emphasis will be placed on adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role may involve some moderate lifting, up to 25 lbs, and requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment. A strong understanding of supply chain principles is beneficial. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Collaborate with receiving, put-away, and picking teams to ensure stock accuracy.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate necessary equipment safely, adhering to all PPE requirements.
- Support in optimizing warehouse layout for efficient inventory management.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to improve overall logistics performance.
