Join our innovative logistics team in San Jose, California, as a Material Handler! We are looking for a reliable and physically fit individual to manage the movement and organization of materials within our state-of-the-art warehouse. This role is integral to maintaining efficient operations, from receiving goods to preparing them for distribution. You'll operate essential equipment and work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless logistics. A strong focus on safety and efficiency is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and components to designated areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, put-away, and cycle counts.
- Inspect equipment daily and report any damage or maintenance needs.
- Ensure all materials are handled in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Properly utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support the overall flow of logistics operations by ensuring timely movement of goods.
- Participate in team efforts to meet daily operational goals and targets.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including consistent Lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Knowledge of safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- A dedicated approach to maintaining safety standards.
