ARES is seeking a Multimedia Graphic Design Specialist to provide remote strategic communications and graphics by creating marketing campaigns, graphics and images, and maintaining social media for the Strategy Division Innovation and Change Lead in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world. Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment. JOB DESCRIPTION / FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will include but not be limited to the following activities: Design and deliver visual assets (infographics, digital flyers, reports, presentations). Support content layout and design for intranet/extranet pages. Design and layout eye-catching graphics, images, and icons to enhance the visual appeal of the website and social media profiles. Continuously update and improve the internal (OneNASA) and external (NASA.gov) website designs based on user feedback and evolving design trends. Improve the digital experience of OCIO services through user experience support and microsite and/or SharePoint development. Analyze Organizational Change Management Strategy and determine graphical communication. Ensure content and visuals are 508-compliant and aligned with NASA and OCIO branding. Collaborate with customer and other team members to conceptualize and execute design ideas. Create original artwork for digital image processing. Perform media edits based on user feedback. Manage, edit and proof content for various multimedia platforms. Establish communication plans and methods of communication through SharePoint, videos, newsletters, and official notices for general audiences. Provide content management support that includes organizing, categorizing, and managing content. Utilize SharePoint and Teams for storage of materials and communication paths. EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS WORK REQUIREMENTS: Minimum education - BA/BS in Communications, Mass Communications, Electronic Media, Design, Graphic Design, or related field. Minimum experience - 8 years. Minimum Requirements: 8+ years experience in multimedia design, software, and social media platforms. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills and ability to determine organizational and analytical skills. Generate innovative ideas for graphics to be displayed across an array of platforms. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.). Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Utilize software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and other industry-standard tools. Adapt content to suit different platforms and media formats. Ability to work under tight deadlines. Capacity to work both independently and as a member of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), and SharePoint. Preferred Qualifications: Previous NASA or Federal Government experience. Adobe Certified Professional (ACP). Graphic Design Specialization. Creative problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Good organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
