POSITION SUMMARY
As a Graphic Designer, your primary responsibility will be to create compelling visual assets and designs for both print and digital media. As part of the Marketing Team, you will work closely with other team members as well as other internal stakeholders, taking written or spoken ideas and converting them into impactful designs. The Graphic Designer should be professionally driven and thrive in a team-oriented environment where you will create brand-forward, engaging designs. This role is required to be in-office 5 days a week in Dulles, VA.
What you’ll do:
Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams/individuals on a wide range of projects and media that may include presentations, signage, forms, posters, digital brochures, internal communications, newsletters, SharePoint pages, and other marketing materials
Visualize and develop innovative designs that meet brand guidelines and messaging using various software programs.
Obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or internal stakeholder appropriately
Work independently as well as cooperatively with other Marketing Team members to meet deadlines and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity
Develop design projects from concept to final delivery
Manage and fulfill branded merchandise and marketing collateral requests and orders through outside vendors
Follow established practices for file structure in content management system
What you bring to the table:
Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and PowerPoint
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Attention to detail
Organizational and time-management skills for meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desire to continue building skillset with education and training
A strong portfolio representing past design work
One or more years of experience in professional graphic design preferred
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design or related field preferred
Bonus if you have experience with After Effects, Premier Pro, OpenAsset, and Asana
