We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to support daily operations and help maintain our high standards of service and professionalism.
Position Summary
The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient staff performance, and smooth front-of-house and back-of-house coordination. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations & Floor Management
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations during service hours.
- Supervise front-of-house staff to ensure professional, attentive, and consistent service.
- Monitor dining room flow, seating, and guest satisfaction.
- Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Actively engage with guests to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
- Handle guest concerns, feedback, and service recovery with professionalism and urgency.
- Uphold Casa De Saffron's service standards and brand values at all times.
- Staff Supervision & Training
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling of FOH staff.
- Coach and motivate team members to meet performance expectations.
- Enforce company policies, appearance standards, and service procedures.
- FOH & BOH Coordination
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service.
- Support menu knowledge training, including Asian–Latin fusion concepts and ingredients.
- Assist with pre-shift meetings and daily staff briefings.
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Assist in managing labor costs, scheduling, and timekeeping.
- Support inventory tracking, ordering, and cash handling procedures.
- Help maintain accurate records and reports as required.
- Safety, Cleanliness & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, sanitation standards, and safety procedures.
- Monitor cleanliness and organization of dining areas, restrooms, and service stations.
- Enforce alcohol service laws and responsible service practices.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in upscale, fine dining, or high-volume restaurants is a plus.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Protection Certificate and/or Alcohol Service Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs as needed.
