We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our facility in Madison, Wisconsin. This position is critical for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods. You will be the first point of contact for many deliveries, responsible for verifying quantities, inspecting for damage, and properly logging received items into our inventory system. This role is key to maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and supporting our logistics operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify delivered items against packing slips and purchase orders for accuracy.
- Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Record received inventory accurately in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and organize received products for efficient put-away.
- Communicate any receiving discrepancies or issues to management promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Utilize necessary PPE , such as safety vests and steel-toed boots.
- Perform tasks that involve regular Lifting , typically up to 40 pounds.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of our Logistics department.
The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have excellent data entry capabilities. Reliability and a commitment to accuracy are paramount.
