We are seeking a meticulous and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our team in Provo, Utah. In this position, you will be responsible for the accurate preparation and processing of all outbound shipments. Your duties will include generating shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, verifying order contents, and ensuring that all packages are dispatched correctly and on schedule. This role is integral to our logistics operations, demanding a high level of organization and attention to detail. Responsibilities:
- Create and print shipping labels, packing slips, and bills of lading.
- Schedule and manage pick-ups with various shipping carriers.
- Confirm that shipped items match customer orders and product specifications.
- Maintain accurate and organized shipping records for all outbound logistics.
- Communicate shipment details and status updates to relevant parties.
- Ensure all packages are correctly packaged, labeled, and prepared for transit.
- Utilize shipping software to manage orders and track shipments effectively.
- Assist with inventory checks and cycle counts as required.
- Strictly follow all safety procedures and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute positively to a safe and efficient warehouse environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and standard office applications.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a strong focus on detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
- Capability to perform tasks involving moderate physical activity, including occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
