We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our bustling logistics center in San Francisco, California. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include receiving shipments, stocking inventory, retrieving materials for production or order fulfillment, and preparing items for dispatch. Maintaining a high level of organization and adhering to stringent safety protocols are key components of this position. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming materials and verify against purchase orders.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation.
- Pick and stage materials required for outgoing shipments or internal use.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all company Safety guidelines.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Properly utilize all required PPE.
- Adhere strictly to all Lifting policies and procedures.
- Contribute to a robust Logistics Safety program.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification and experience operating forklifts are highly desirable.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to regulations.
