Key responsibilities include accurately picking and packing items, maintaining inventory levels, operating equipment, and ensuring a safe and orderly workplace. Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and store incoming merchandise.
- Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently from warehouse shelves.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Process orders for shipment and load onto delivery vehicles.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain data integrity.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the distribution center.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Follow established lifting techniques to ensure personal and team safety.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Understanding of logistics operations and supply chain flow.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
