Are you skilled in operating material handling equipment? We're looking for a certified Reach Truck Operator to join our logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. This role is critical for the efficient movement and storage of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory at various heights. A strong emphasis is placed on operational efficiency and maintaining a safe working environment. Adherence to all Safety regulations and the proper use of PPE are non-negotiable. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely at heights. Understanding of warehouse layouts and inventory management is beneficial. While operating the reach truck is primary, you may also be involved in other warehouse tasks that could involve moderate Lifting . Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trailers with incoming and outgoing freight.
- Accurately place inventory in designated racking systems.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on the reach truck.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse aisles and dock areas.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Support overall warehouse operations and contribute to the team's success in achieving Logistics goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification for operating a Reach Truck.
- Proven experience operating a Reach Truck in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve occasional Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times while operating equipment.
- Understanding of general Logistics principles.
