We are actively recruiting experienced Forklift Operators for our key distribution center located in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in the movement and organization of inventory throughout our facility, playing a critical role in our overall logistics chain. Your responsibilities will include operating various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, move palletized goods, and stock inventory in designated areas. Safety is our top priority; therefore, strict adherence to all Safety procedures and the diligent use of PPE are mandatory. This role requires a high degree of precision, strong spatial awareness, and the ability to maintain efficient workflow in a demanding warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the warehouse, including racking systems.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure operational Safety and report any defects.
- Follow all warehouse Safety rules and regulations.
- Wear all required PPE at all times while operating equipment or in designated areas.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and material handling as needed.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to Safety and proper PPE usage.
