We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for our busy logistics center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for transit. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are vital to maintaining efficient shipping operations. Responsibilities include verifying orders, selecting appropriate packaging materials, labeling shipments correctly, and coordinating with carriers. A strong focus on Safety and the consistent use of PPE are essential for this role. This position may involve some lifting and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Verify order details against shipping labels.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Label all packages correctly according to carrier requirements.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pick-ups.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting, up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of logistics and shipping processes.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using required PPE.
