Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler in Minneapolis, Minnesota! We are seeking a reliable and energetic individual to manage the flow of materials within our warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting overall warehouse operations. This position is fundamental to our logistics network, requiring physical stamina and a commitment to Safety. We provide all necessary training and protective gear, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Organize and maintain inventory in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including staging, counting, and labeling.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting activities.
- Keep the work area clean and free of debris.
- Support the logistics team with various tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is a strong plus.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical work, including frequent Lifting of objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Commitment to adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
