Our Portland, Oregon facility is looking for skilled Forklift Operators to join our dedicated warehouse staff. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage the movement and storage of goods within our facility. You will handle tasks such as loading and unloading inbound and outbound shipments, moving palletized materials, and relocating inventory to appropriate storage locations. Accurate inventory placement and retrieval are key to maintaining operational efficiency. A valid forklift certification is a prerequisite for this position. Our commitment to Safety is unwavering, and all forklift operators must demonstrate strict adherence to all safety protocols, including the diligent use of PPE and safe operating practices. This role requires the ability to perform tasks that may involve moderate Lifting in addition to operating machinery. A solid understanding of warehouse procedures and Logistics principles is essential. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport inventory to designated storage areas.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and the use of appropriate PPE .
- Support the Logistics department with efficient material handling.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or potential hazards.
- Perform other warehouse duties as required.
