In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment goods arrive. Your primary responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately recording all incoming inventory into our system. This position is vital for maintaining inventory control and supporting the smooth flow of our logistics operations. We maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety, requiring the use of appropriate PPE and adherence to all established safety procedures. This role may involve some lifting and requires the ability to work diligently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Accurately enter received items into the inventory management system.
- Label and tag received goods appropriately.
- Stage received items for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
