We are seeking enthusiastic Pickers/Packers to join our vibrant warehouse team in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a hands-on role where you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders efficiently and accurately. Your primary responsibilities will include picking specific items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets and then carefully packing these items for shipment. We value speed, accuracy, and a commitment to safety. You will work in a dynamic environment, requiring you to be on your feet for most of your shift. Adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity within our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick designated items from warehouse shelves using order sheets or handheld scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean picking and packing area.
- Conduct basic inventory checks as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks or other basic material handling equipment.
- Follow all company safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet established performance standards for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking and packing is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the use of PPE.
- Good stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
