We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. Your responsibilities will include picking, packing, receiving, and shipping orders accurately and in a timely manner. You will work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of our logistics processes. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment, emphasizing adherence to all safety protocols and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina and attention to detail to maintain high standards of performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming inventory.
- Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
- Prepare items for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management principles.
- Understanding and adherence to safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including prolonged standing, walking, and lifting.
